Did you know you can research family records going right back to the reign of King Henry VIII? Tracing your family way back to 1538 has never been easier, thanks to our continued additions and improvements to our London Parish Records collection. This collection gives you a unique opportunity to see records going back further than 1837 – which is when formal birth, marriage and death certificates were introduced.

Last year alone we added over 13 million new records to our collection, and we’ve continued adding to our Parish Records collection in 2010, starting with the Bishops Transcripts, which we have through our partnership with the London Metropolitan Archives.

We’re also excited to announce that London Baptisms, Marriages and Burials 1538-1812, previously a searchable image collection, has now been fully indexed. This, along with improved search options, means you now have a much better chance of finding your distant, distant ancestors in the largest collection available, anywhere online.
